For School - Genji Tattoo

In The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu we follow the life of Genji. Genji was born of the Emperor and his most loved wife. The emperor’s love for his wife was not liked by the head wife. He then had a son by her whom he raised to be his successor. This was not liked by many so that is how he received a commoner’s name Genji. Genji was given the best tutors and was very talented as well as very beautiful. His mother died when he was young and was left wondering about her. Throughout his life he compensated his loneliness and infatuation with his dead mother with many women in his life. He seemed to be in search of the perfect woman. There were many women that Genji seduced throughout his life. He was not a man to give one all of his devotion, but he did not like to be lonely. He even tried to raise the perfect wife and educate her and teach her in the ways to be best suitable for him, her name was Murasaki. Genji was attracted to Murasaki because she reminded him so much of Fujitsubo, who was his step-mother, who also had a very strange resemblance to Genji’s real mother. Once she was of age he married her and loved her above all his other women. It took him too long to realize his flaws and get his life in order. It was not until after Murasaki’s death that Genji then started to steer his life in the right direction.

tree knittings...

I was reading stuff on stumbleupon.com and came across this...
REALLY....

sorry this is a bit odd to me...Knitting for trees...hmm..

I really don't think i'd want to spend all that time making one of these for it to be out in the weather like that...but i guess they feel it makes their yard and tree look maybe a little bit better...

he use to be so little and sweet. well i don't think he was every fully sweet.

I was just thinking the other day how i missed him being young.
I feel very proud of him...everyone tells me what a pretty cat he is...too bad he's not a little nicer (even though i don't think i'd like him quite as much if he was)

But I think he's still all cute and looking all grown up.
It seems silly but with how things have been going lately 0 gives plenty of excitement to my day and is very entertaining.
I enjoy coming home to 0 it makes my days lately.

Free Time

I have so much free time on my hands now i'm not quite sure what to do with it. I have recently been laid off of one job and have one on hold. So... that leaves me with one part time job which is very new to me. Kat has told me about this blog place...i probably wont really blog but i like reading stuff and learning new things. So to pass my time lately until school starts again at least i figured i'd sign on to this to give me soemthing to do at work, read some more, and i have started doing some loom knitting (i know i'm boring). Well until next time. amanda
